My Karate career has come to an end, at least for now. I found a nice place where I can take T’ai Chi for free, twice a week. Nice crowd, too — about 30 in the class. I love T’ai Chi, but it’s been a while since I went to Master Lu’s classes and I guess I figured if I couldn’t go to him, I wouldn’t go at all. I definitely need more strength and balance for Karate than I have now.
What I’d really like to do is learn enough to teach T’ai Chi classes, in case I ever end up in a place that has none. So I went to the library and checked out a few books. They explain some of the things I learned from Master Lu that I’ve always wondered about. One is how T’ai Chi actually exercises your internal organs. Very cool. I’ve also read about how there are energy pathways in the feet that go to all of those organs. That goes right along with footzoning, one of my specialties. Anyway, I’m glad to be back!
